Welcome to my Digital Art Gallery!
Sorry if you've come across this website from a search for pickled lotus root. It just so happens that I am known by the handle "Fukujinzuke" on various internet communities, and so I obtained the domain name for it to serve as my portfolio/gallery/resume.
I'm an amateur artist with proficient in:
Adobe Photoshop, Manga Studio EX, Adobe Premier, TVPaint Professional, Adobe Illustrator.
Most of my training is from my own learn-as-you-go experience and printed literature such as "Storyboarding the Simpsons Way" (by Chris Roman), "The Animator's Survival Kit" (Richard Williams), "Framed Ink" (Marcus Mateu-Mestre), and others, but I do have some training from a Computer Graphics 100 course, a Beginning Animation course, and two Computer Animation courses.
In the interest of speedy production, I've trained myself to draw directly to screen (rather than the traditional procedure of pencil-to-ink-to-scan-to-color). For the pieces you find in these galleries, I've used both a Wacom Intuos, and in my earlier works, a Wacom Bamboo.
All works were completely rendered by myself, i.e. lineart and full color.
Please follow the links along the header to my digital art gallery.
Fukujinzuke is one of the most popular kinds of pickles in Japanese cuisine, commonly used as a relish for Japanese curry. In fukujinzuke, vegetables including daikon, eggplant, lotus root and cucumber are finely chopped, then pickled in a base that is flavored with soy sauce.
